What is a Domain Name

What is Web Hosting

To get your website onto the internet you need to put your website onto a computer called a server that is linked to the internet. Hosting companies provide these servers and you have to rent a space for your website on them. Normally you would pay a yearly fee dependant on the amount of space you need to use on the server.

What is SEO

Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) is all about getting your website to the top of the list when you type in a search in Google, Yahoo, Bing etc. Nobody knows exactly how search engine companies rank websites so there are no guarantees that a site will appear in the top ten but there are some general rules that can be followed to help. This process can take weeks or months to see any results.
